These two Baggage Crew Room cars, #1903 and #1904, were rebuilt by Illinois Central in their Burnside Shops from heavyweight cars for use on the "City of New Orleans." The cars didn't have any sleeping accomodations for the crew, but had lounge chairs, toilet facilities and lockers. The Steward's room had a shower, desk and toilet. The Conductor also had an office. The cars were 80' 6" coupled, so the core kit (not included) would have to be shortened.
