These 12 ACF smooth side Club Lounge (Barber, Shower) cars were delivered to Union Pacific and C&NW in the summer of '49 for use on the "City of San Francisco," "City of Los Angeles," and "City of Portland." They were named Loup, Platte, Columbia, Colorado, Green, Mojave, Portneuf, Payette, and Weber River and were numbered 6200-6208 for UP and 7900-7902 for C&NW. 3 of the UP cars went to Amtrak, 2 to Long Island, 2 to private parties, and 2 retained for company service.
