Illinois Central's Burnside Shops rebuilt these 6 heavyweight cars into baggage-mail cars with 30' mail sections and 47' baggage sections. The cars were numbered 400 to 405 and were used in general service. The cars had a coupled length of 80'6" and the sides are made to this length, requiring shortening of the core kit.
