These 12 Pullman Standard Prewar Fluted 4 Bedroom/4 Compartment/2 Drawing Room Sleepers were delivered to the Santa Fe in early '38 for use on the "Chief." They were named: "Hotevilla, Hualpai, Jadito, Kaibito, Kayenta, Kietsiel, Klethla, Moencopi, Mohave, Nankoweap, Naslini, and Polacca." The cars were never reconfigured and were sold for scrap between '66 and '68. Plan 4069C was similar except for having fluted skirts and a different shape and window position of one of the restrooms.
