These 19 PS Smooth Side 4 Bedroom/4 Compartment/2 Drawing Room Sleepers, originally owned by the Pullman Co., were delivered in '41 for use on the "City of Los Angeles" and "City of San Francisco." After the Pullman breakup in '47, 3 went to C&NW, 2 went to SP, and 14 to UP. The SP cars, #9102 and #9103, were retired and dismantled in '59. The rest were retired in '60 and '61 and sold. These cars featured a unique center skirt with a "louvered" look, as did most of the PS cars built for the 1940 equipment for these trains.
