This Pullman Standard Prewar Fluted 4 Drawing Room/1 Bedroom/Lounge Observation was delivered to the Santa Fe in July '38 for use on the "Super Chief."   Like the Plan 4070's, "Puye" was squared off in '54 for mid-train use.  Before being scrapped in '68, it saw service on both the "Chief" and "San Francisco Chief."  Plan 4070A had fluted skirts and a small difference in the size of a restroom and the position of its window.
