Pullman Standard 10 Roomette/6 Bedroom Fluted (below the windows and on skirts) side Sleeper. Chesapeake & Ohio ordered 75 of these cars, but decided not to keep all of them. This car has a much different window arrangement than standard 10/6's in that the roomettes, instead of being grouped together, were placed at the ends of the car so that the higher priced bedrooms would have a smoother ride. Also, the windows were larger in height than standard cars. Denver & Rio Grande Western bought 4 of the cars and immediately changed five of the roomettes into five sections, thus a 5/5/6 designation. Nickel Plate also bought some of these 10/6's.
