These 4 PS Fluted Side 24 Seat Diner/18 Seat Lounges were delivered to Boston & Maine and Maine Central in Sept. '47 for use on the "Kennebec," "Pine Tree," and "Flying Yankee." The MEC cars were: 15 - "Merrymeeting" and 16 - "Arundel." The B&M cars were: 70 - "Bald Eagle" and 71 - "Hermit Thrush." The B&M cars were sold to Wabash in '57 and Norfolk & Western after the merger. The MEC cars were sold to C&EI in '51 and then L&N after the merger. They were rebuilt in '64 to 14 Seat Lunch Counter/8 Seat Diner/18 Seat Lounges and went to Amtrak in '71, retired in '77.
