These 6 PS Baggage/Dormitory/22 Seat Coaches, with prewar style fluting, were delivered to Southern Railway in '41 for use on the "Southerner" and the "Tennessean." The dormitory section had accomodations for twelve men. The cars also had a private room for the dining car steward that included a private shower and was similar to a double bedroom. The coach section in this car and the connection section of the divided coach that followed were provided for "colored" patrons, per the segregation laws in most of the Southern states. Two of the cars were sold. The rest were dsmantled.
