Pullman Standard Fluted Side Baggage/Dormitory. Santa Fe took delivery of 3 of these cars for service on the 1947 "El Capitan," which was running two dining cars, and therefore had to support the extra crewmembers. The dormitory section had 24 bunks and 2 showers. In '56, the transition topper was added to make a smooth transition between the low level and high level cars. The cars #3477 to 3479 went on to Amtrak service until the late '70s. This kit is for the sides only. It doesn't include the Train Station Products transition topper, and is undecorated.
