This PS Fluted Side Coach Parlor Buffet Dayroom Observation was delivered to Rock Island in late '47 for use in general service.  It originally had 28 coach seats and 20 parlor seats.  It was named and numbered 458 "Kaw Valley."  In '50, it was reconfigured to 30 parlor seats, and in '57, it was changed again to 26 parlor seats with the dayroom and was renamed "Peoria."  At the same time, the round end was rebuilt for mid-train operation.  It was retired in '71 and event;ually wound up in a restaurant in Gatlinburg, TN.
