These 9 PS Smooth Side Baggage Dormitory cars were delivered to New York Central in early '48 for service on the "Commodore Vanderbilt," "Advance Commodore," and "Detroiter."  Three of the cars were sold to Rock Island in '59 and then to Ringling Bros. in '68.  The rest were scrapped or converted to work train service.
