These smooth sides are for a Pullman-Standard built Club Lounge. 2 of these cars were delivered to New York Central in '48 for use on the "20th Century." The cars had several unique features including a secretary's room with desks and a dictaphone, a fully equipped barber shop, a shower room and a radio-telephone room. These "Shore" series cars were sold to Rock Island in '58 for use on the "Golden State" after coaches were added to the "Century." RI sold "Atlantic Shore" in '68 to Kennedy Farms and "Lake Shore" was sold for scrap.
