These sides are for a fluted side Pullman-Standard full length Diner built for coupling with #7607 Kitchen Dormitory. 4 sets of these cars, originally built for C&O, were bought by New York Central, which took delivery in '50 and numbered the diners 409 to 412 and the kitchen dorms 470 to 473. NYC sold 409 and a kitchen dorm to B&O in '57. Atlantic Coast Line also bought some sets of these cars in '50, naming the diners "Winter Haven," "St. Petersburg," "Port Tampa" and "Winter Park." ACL numbered the kitchen dorms 125 to 129. In '62 3 of the diners were detached from the kitchen dorms and used as entertainment cars on the "Florida Special." The B&O set was retired in '69 and sold to Shay Inn Restaurant in Cass, W.Va.
