These 2 Budd Fluted Side 60'Mail/44 Seat Coaches were delivered to Rock Island in Sept. '39 for use on the "Rocky Mountain Rocket."  They were named and numbered:  375 "Mesa Verde" and 376 "Pikes Peak."  They were rebuilt in '47 into mid train Coffee Shop Dormitory cars (see 96004-R).  Both were retired in '69 with 375 scrapped and 376 sold to a private party.  These were 79' cars, so any core kit/base car will have to be shortened.
