Budd delivered these two flutted Diner Lounges to Rock Island in late '39.  They were built for the "Rocky Mountain Rocket."  The lounge sections were removed in '47 and replaced with more dining tables. #420 Mount Evans was scrapped and #421 Centennial went to Mexico.  The window arrangement is identical to Budd Job #96008, which consisted of  three 48 seat Diners, #422 Yucca, #423 Sahuaro, and #424 Octilla.  All three were sold to Mexico.
