These 6 Budd Fluted Side 56 Seat Coaches were delivered to Minneapolis & St. Louis RR in April '48. M&St.L ceased most of it's passenger service by '57 and sold these cars to Rock Island. Each car had space for a Baker Heater which helped keep them warm in the harsh winters in Iowa and Minnesota. Since the heater was in the vestibule end, a door was put in the opposite end as an escape route in the event of fire caused by the heater. All of the cars were scrapped except for one, which was bought by AD&N in Crossett, AR.
