These cars were Budd built with fluting below the window panels. They were delivered to Southern Pacific for use on the "Sunset Limited" in July of 1950. They were stainless steel with a red stripe above the windows running the length of the car. They featured a full kitchen and were decorated in tones of turquois and jade with the end panels sporting hand painted bird groups in the Audubon style. They had 12 tables each seating 4 passengers. They were numbered 10210 to 10215 and all were sold to Amtrak, except 10214, which was used for company excursion service, in 1971.
