These 12 Budd Fluted Side 10 Roomette-6 Bedroom Sleepers were delivered to Seaboard Air Line (6) and Pennsylvania RR (6) in mid '49 to upgrade the service on the "Silver Fleet."  Up to '49, SAL had used heavyweight sleepers on all of their streamliners.  Pennsy car names were:  Athens, Bradenton, Chester, Clinton, Elberton and Greenwood.  SAL car names were:  St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Winter Haven, Lake Wales, West Palm Beach and Miami.  Most of the cars probably went to Amtrak and private individuals.
