#3031 UP ACF Smooth Side Cafe Lounge

These 10 Cafe Lounges (7 UP, 3 C&NW) were delivered to Union Pacific and Chicago & North Western in 6/49 for use on the "City of San Francisco/City of Los Angeles/City of Portland." UP cars were numbered 5000-5006; C&NW cars were numbered 7800-7802. All cars were sold/scrapped except for C&NW 7802 that went to work train service and UP 5004 that went to Alaska Railroad in '71.
