These 16 cars were delivered from 5/49 to 6/49, 13 to SAL and 3 to RF&P, for use on the “Silver Meteor” and “Silver Comet.” �The SAL cars were named after cities on the route; the RF&P cars had county names. These cars were unusual in that they were ordered with a fluted Budd-Style roof. 14 of the cars went to Amtrak; 2 were wrecked.�

FOR CAR SIDES ONLY: If you are using a donor car and replacing it's sides with ours, we will need the length that you need. Our default length is 11-3/8". Please put your needed length below. Also, if you want skirts removed, please state ALL for a flat bottom on the sides or CENTER to have the center skirt removed.

These 16 cars were delivered from May 1949 to June 1949, 13 to SAL and 3 to RF&P, for use on the “Silver Meteor” and “Silver Comet.” The SAL cars were named after cities on the route; the RF&P cars had county names.
