These 16 cars were delivered (8 to each railroad) in 6/47 to 7/47 for use on the “Pine Tree/Kennebec/Flying Yankee.” The B&M cars were sold to Wabash in ’57 and became N&W property after the merger. N&W sold 4 to NJDOT in ’68 where they were retired in ’74. All of the MEC cars were sold to MP in ’60 and were retired in ’69 with most being sold to Mexico.
