These 34 cars were delivered in 3/50 to 7/50, most for use on the “El Capitan.” They were identical with 7503 except they had no center skirts and no fluting on the skirts. They replaced the 7503’s on the El Cap and those cars were used to improve secondary trains such as the “Grand Canyon” and the “California Limited.” They were numbered 2912 to 2945. Most went to Amtrak.
