These 3 cars are the sister cars to the full length Diners and were delivered to the C&O in 8/48 for use on “The Chessie.” They went to other trains since the Chessie was cancelled before it began. They were sold to Atlantic Coast Line in ’50 and to the original Auto Train in ’70.
