Wabash
HO, N, S and O Scale Passenger Car Sides. Our sides are done with a white styrene outer side and a crystal clear plastic inner side that are to be glued together. The clear inner side is also used for window glazing. All sides are undecorated and require a core kit (roof, floor, ends) to make a car shell, or the use of a donor car, unless otherwise indicated. The diagrams shown are three or four colors: white lines are the outlines of the sides and doors (if the kit comes with separate doors), green lines are generally window openings, red and blue lines are details cut into the sides. Descriptions of the cars are of the prototype and usually tell the builder, number of cars made, the original owning railroad, and disposition of the cars. These descriptions are taken from the "Pullman-Standard Library" and the "Passenger Car Library" by RPC Publications, and are used with permission. All sides listed as fluted include fluting in the kit.

11 UP, 2 C&NW and 4 Wabash cars were delivered in early '50. 12 were for use on the "City of St Louis" and 5 for the "City of Portland." C&NW's cars were scrapped in '64; Wabash sold 2 to Butterworth Tours and 1 to UP, and 1 was retained by N&W. The 12 UP cars were rebuilt into 11 Double Bedroom cars in '65 (see #3069) and retained.

This car was delivered in 11/49 for use on the "Bluebird." Amtrak got it in '71 and then sold it to a private owner.

These 16 cars were delivered (8 to each railroad) in 6/47 to 7/47 for use on the "Pine Tree/Kennebec/Flying Yankee." The B&M cars were sold to Wabash in '57 and became N&W property after the merger. N&W sold 4 to NJDOT in '68 where they were retired in '74. All of the MEC cars were sold to MP in '60 and were retired in '69 with most being sold to Mexico.

These 4 cars (2 for each railroad) were delivered in 9/47 for use on the "Pine Tree/Kennebec/Flying Yankee." The B&M cars were sold to Wabash in '57 and went to N&W after the merger. The MEC cars were sold to C&EI in '51 and went to L&N after the merger.

These 3 cars were delivered to Wabash in late '49 for use in the "Blue Bird." One of them was replaced with a PS Dome Parlor and went to the "City of Kansas City." Numbered 200-202, they went to Amtrak in '71.
