#4162 PS Fluted Side 5 Bedroom-Buffet Lounge-Observation

These 8 cars were delivered on 2/50 to 3/50, SR (4), FEC (1), L&N (2) and WofA (1) for use on the "Crescent" and "New Royal Palm."  They were named in the "Royal" series.  The NYC car was wrecked in '51, 3 Southern cars were rebuilt to 11 Bedroom and squared off (see #4162-R), the FEC car became a Business Car in '60 and the rest were sold to private owners.
