These 6 cars were delivered in early ’38 for use on the “Chief.” In ’54, the round ends were squared off for mid-train service and were then used on the “San Francisco Chief.” 4 of the cars were rebuilt into 48 seat Coaches in ’60. The names plus the numbers given to the rebuilds were “Betahtakin/2812, Biltobito/2815, Chaistla/2813, Chuska/2814, Coconino and Denehotso.” Denehotso was given to Steamtown. The squared-off version is our kit #4070-R.
