These 10 cars were delivered from 9/49 to 10/49 to ACL (5), FEC (2), PRR (2) and RF&P (1) for use on the “Champions” and the “Florida Special.” They were named in the “Island” series. ACL car “Parris Island” was rebuilt to an 11 Bedroom and renamed “Magnolia Gardens” in ’62. The RF&P car went to Auto Train in ’76. The rest of the cars were either sold or scrapped.
