#7498 GN PS Smooth Side Lunch Counter Dormitory Lounge

These 5 cars were delivered to Great Northern in1/47 for use on the "Empire Builder." They were numbered 1140 to 1143 and 1148 and were named in the "* Lake" series. At least one of the cars had the lounge chairs replaced with 2-4 seat and 2-2 seat dining tables. 4 of the cars were converted to work train service in the '70's and one was scrapped.
