#7597 PS L&N/SRR/WofA Fluted Side Baggage-Mail

These 5 PS Fluted Side Baggage-Mail cars were delivered in 12/49 (2 to Southern; 2 to L&N; 1 to Western of Alabama) for us in the "Crescent Limited." They were identical to those made by ACF except that the fluting on the letterboard was different. The WofA car went to work train service; the 2 L&N cars were sold; the Southern cars were converted the straigth baggage cars, then went to Amtrak.
